Abstract: Turkey is one of the countries in the world that the ultrabasic and ultramafic rocks occur extensively. Therefore it is thought desirable to write ashort account of this class of geologic bodies and their problems in order togive a better understanding of these rocks for the Turkish geolgists in thefield.
