Abstract: The Upper Jurassic formations within the area studied beginwes t of the village of Dağakçeköy and extend westwards. The lower part consists ofconglomerates-sandstones and marls containing shallow marine fauna of Bathonian-Oxfordian age. The upper part consists of light-brownish cryptocrystalline limestones. In the nort h of Fındıklı the lower part consists of fine-to medium-grainedargillaceous sandstone beds containing many fossils of Callovian-Oxfordian agewhich are also covered by similar cryptocrystalline limestones.
