Abstract: Age determination by means of macrofossils was the only method useduntil recently. But because macrofossils are not found in every formation,many authors have been confronted with difficulties in the determinationof age. In research the statistical method is generally used for practical, andthe species ascertaining method for scientific purposes. Here the results ofall the researches are grouped together ,and arranged on a single map.The lower cretaceous foraminifera are relatively rare. The fossils particularly noted were Orbitolina conoidea, GRAS. O. discoidea GRAS. and O.lenticularis LAM. It is understood that the borders of Sarız Graben in theTaurus ,and the layers of Fethiye are richer in fossils.
