Karaburun Yarımadası`nın Geç Miyosen Stratigrafisi, Yeni Memeli Bulguları ve Bölgesel Korelasyon, Batı Anadolu

Öz: Foça Çöküntüsü`nün batı kenarındaki Mordoğan alt havzasında tanımlanan Eşendere grubu, alüviyal Saip, palustrin Boyabağ ve gölsel Çukurcak kireçtaşı formasyonlarından oluşmaktadır. Eşendere grubu, Orta Miyosen yaşlı Hisarcık formasyonunun gölsel çökelleri üzerinde uyumsuzlukla yer alır. Alüvyon yelpazesi çökellerinden oluşan Saip formasyonu, Geç Miyosen tortullaşmasının başlangıcını yansıtır. Palustrin çamur düzlüğü istifiyle temsil edilen ve ilk kez bu çalışmada tanımlanan Boyabağ formasyonu, Saip formasyonu ile gölsel Çukurcak kireçtaşı arasında yer alır. Gölsel Çukurcak kireçtaşı, Eşendere grubunun son birimidir. Boyabağ formasyonunun çamurtaşı egemen istifi içinde bulunan Hipparion aff. giganteum ve Hippopotamodon major kıyı Ege Bölgesi`nde MN10 biyozonuna işaret eden ilk bulgulardır. Bu büyük memeli bulgularına dayanılarak, Foça Çöküntüsü`ndeki Geç Miyosen tortullaşmasının ~10 milyon yıl önce başladığı ileri sürülebilir.

    Öz: İnlice yüksek sülfidasyon epitermal altın yatağı, Erenlerdağ-Alacadağ Volkanik Kompleksi (EAVK) içerisinde ve Konya ilinin yaklaşık 40 km güneybatısında yer almaktadır. Çalışma alanında stratigrafik konumlarına göre alttan üste doğru andezit, blok ve kül akıntısı, bazaltik andezit lav akıntısı ve andezit lav akıntısı olmak üzere dört birime ayrılan volkanik ve volkano-sedimanter kayaçlar, yamaç molozu ve alüvyonlar tarafından uyumsuz olarak örtülürler. Andezitler içerisinde gözlenen alterasyonların merkezinden dışa doğru sırasıyla kovuklu-şeker ve kalsedonik/opalin dokulu kuvars damarlarından oluşan silisleşmeler, ileri arjilik, ortaç arjilik ve piropilitik alterasyon zonları tanımlanmıştır. Bu alterasyon topluluklarına ek olarak sadece Merkez Zonun derin kesimlerinde gözlenen manyetit, kuvars, biyotit ve anhidrit içerikli potasik bir alterasyon zonu da tanımlanmıştır. Cevherleşmeler, yaygın olarak pirit daha az oranda enarjit, kalkopirit, kalkosin, kovellin, sfalerit ve markazit gibi sülfid mineralleri ile temsil edilmektedir. Petrografik olarak altın taneleri özellikle sülfid minerallerinin oksidasyona maruz kaldığı kesimlerde saçınımlı olarak 2 ile 6 µm arası boyutlarda gözlenmektedir. Alterasyon zonlarındaki jeokimyasal değişimin derecesi silisleşmelerden piropilitik alterasyona doğru azalmakta olup, bu değişim, alterasyon zonlarında gözlenen mineralojik değişimle uyumludur. Bununla birlikte taze andezitlerden ileri arjilik alterasyon ve silisleşmelere doğru özellikle As, Sb, Bi, Ag ve Au gibi elementler zenginleşme gösterirken, Zn ve Ni`deki fakirleşmeler belirginleşmektedir. Ayrıca yapılan çalışmalar kalsedonik/opalin dokulu kuvars damarlarındaki Pb ile ileri arjilik alterasyon ve silisleşmelerdeki düşük Rb/Sr değerlerinin enazından İnlice bölgesi için jeokimyasal bir kılavuz olarak kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir.

    Öz: Sferulitik (küresel) yapılar özellikle alkali magmatik kayaçlarda gelişen, eş merkezli olarak zonlu kristal kümeleri olarak tanımlanırlar ve genellikle farklı mineral katmanları veya kabukları şeklinde ortaya çıkarlar. Batı Anadolu`da Kırka-Afyon-Isparta Volkanik provensi içinde Kırka (Eskişehir) bölgesinde gözlenen volkanosedimenter seri baskın olarak Erken Miyosen yaşlı dasitik-riyolitik bileşimli volkanikler, gölsel kireçtaşları, borat-içerikli kiltaşları, tüf, stromatolitik kireçtaşları ve riyolitler ile bazaltlardan oluşmaktadır. Bu çalışma İdrisyayla kuzeyindeki Neojen seri içerisinde yüzlek veren sub-alkali riyolitik lav domunun kenar zonunda gözlenen sferulitik yapıların iç oluşum mekanizmaları tanımlanmıştır. Riyolitler, grimsi açık kahve renkte, hipokristalen hiyalopilitik-holohiyalin ve sferulit özellikler sunmaktadır ve tamamen akma yapısı sunan, nadir olarak gelişmiş özşekilli plajiyoklas, sanidin ve kuvars mikrokristalleri içeren volkanik camdan oluşmaktadır. Riyolitlerin dış yüzeyinde gözlenen küresel yapılar yaklaşık 10-15 cm boyutlarına kadar ulaşmaktadır. Neredeyse tam yuvarlağa yakın şekil sunan sferolitler lav akma bantları içinde konsantrik halkalar şeklinde görünmektedir. Sferulitik yapıların iç dokusunda volkanik cam fazının akma bant dokusu devamlılık sunmaktadır. Söz konusu sferulitik yapılar, etkilendiği yüksek sıcaklık ve hızlı soğuma sonucunda, devitrifikasyon mekanizmasıyla ortaya çıkmıştır. Sferulitik riyolitlere ait petromineralojik özellikler, erken magmatik süreçte, silise aşırı doygun sıvının, nispeten farklı yoğunluktaki silikat sıvı fazları içinde kristalleştiğini ve bir merkezden itibaren ışınsal kuvars-feldispat kristal büyümelerinin, bu riyolitlerde sferulitik yapının oluşumuna neden olduğunu göstermektedir. Bunun yanında, yerel olarak akma bantlarının kıvrımlanması ile oluşan eksen boşluklarındaki katı faz mineral büyümesi ve devamında sıvı fazdan ışınsal mineral büyümelerinin geliştiği litofiz benzeri yapıların dariyolitin kenar fazında laminar dokuyu değiştirdiği önerilmektedir.

    Öz: İnceleme alanı Armutlu Yarımadası’nda Armutlu-Ovacık zonu içerisinde yüzeyleyen Karakaya Karmaşığı`nı(Alt Karakaya-AKK) temsil eden düşük dereceli metamorfik kökenli birimleri kapsamaktadır. Bu kapsamda İznik ve Yenişehir (Bursa) yörelerinde arazi çalışmalarıyla örnekler alınmış olup, örneklerde petrografik (optik mikroskop, SEM) ve mineralojik (XRD) incelemeler yapılmıştır. AKK birimlerinden İznik Metamorfitleri yeşil sist fasiyesi (metakumtaşı, sleyt, şist, kuvarsit, metagabro, metavolkanit, dolomitik mermer) kayalarla temsil edilmektedir. AKK birimlerinde bolluk sırasına göre kuvars, fillosilikat (illit, klorit, C-V, kaolinit, I-V, smektit, stilpnomelan, paragonit, serpentin), feldispat, kalsit, piroksen (ojit), dolomit, amfibol (hornblend, tremolit/aktinolit, antofillit) veopak (hematit, götit) mineralleri tanımlanmıştır. AKK Birimi`ne ait şamozitik bileşimli trioktahedral kloritler IIb;illitler ise 2M1 ve 2M+1M politipine sahiptir. Kübler İndeksi (KI; Δο2θ) değerleri 0,19-0,41 Δο2θ (ortalama 0,25Δο2θ) olup, epimetamorfik ve yüksek ankimetamorfik dereceyi işaret etmektedir. AI (Δο2θ) değerleri 0,26-0,32 Δο2θ(ortalama 0,29 Δο2θ) olup illit Kübler indeksi verileriyle uyumludur. Fenjitik bileşimli dioktahedral illitlerde b0 değerleri (Å) 8,952-9,030 Å (ortalama 8,995 Å) olup düşük-orta basınç fasiyes serisi bölgesinde yer almaktadır. AKK temsil eden İznik Metamorfitleri`nin litolojik, mineralojik ve kristal kimyasal parametre verileri (kristalinite,politipi ve b0) kuzeybatı ve iç-kuzeydoğu Anadolu’da yer alan (Nilüfer Birimi ve Turhal Metamorfitleri) eş değer birimler ile deneştirildiğinde, birimin Alt Karakaya`nın üst bölümüne (AKK-ÜB) karşılık gelen yeşilşist fasiyesine sahip metamorfizm koşullarına işaret etmektedir. Petrografik ve mineralojik veriler (parajenez, KI, AI, b0, indeksmineral birliktelikleri) İznik Metamorfitleri`nin Permiyen-Erken Kretase döneminde Alt yeşil şist (yüksek ankizonepizon) fasiyesinde metamorfizm geçirdiğini ortaya koymaktadır.

    Öz: Denizli ilinin jeolojik değerlerinden birisi olan Çal Kanyonu, Çal ilçesi yakınlarında Büyük Menderes Nehri`nin yukarı yatağı üzerinde yer alır. Kanyon çevresindeki en yaşlı kaya birimleri Menderes metamorfitlerinin şist ve mermerleridir. Metamorfik birimleri tektonik bir dokanakla Likya naplarının karbonatlı (kireçtaşı, dolomitik kireçtaşı) ve ofiyolitik kayaları üzerler. Bu temel birimler, Üst Miyosen-Pliyosen yaşlı akarsu, göl ve alüvyal tortullardan oluşan karasal bir istif tarafından uyumsuz olarak örtülür. İl merkezinin 65 km kuzeydoğusundaki kanyon, Çal ilçe merkezine 4 km uzaklıktadır. Kanyon, KD-GB uzanımlı Menderes Masifi`nin mermerleri içinde gelişmiştir. Kanyonun giriş ve çıkış noktalarının deniz seviyesinden yüksekliği sırasıyla 760 m ve 700 m olup, 60 m`lik bir yükselti farkı vardır. Kanyonda yüksek olan yamaç eğimleri bazı noktalarda 90°`ye yakındır. Pliyosen sonunda oluşmaya başlayan kanyon, gelişimini Kuvaterner`de de sürdürmüştür. K-G doğrultusunda uzunluğu 3 km`dir. Kanyonun geliştiği sırt, doğudaki Çivril-Baklan grabeni ilebatıdaki çöküntü alanı (Çal Havzası/Grabeni) arasında bir eşik özelliği taşır. Kanyon aynı zamanda iki çöküntü alanı arasında hidrolik bir bağlantı oluşturur. Basamaklı ve düzensiz kanyon tabanında birkaç metre yükseklikte şelaleler, basamaklı yapılar ve dev kazanları gelişmiştir. Çalışma alanında kanyon bir jeodeğer olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Ancak çevrede kanyon dışında tarihi ve kültürel değerler de bulunmaktadır. Güneyde, kanyonun giriş tarafında Lounda antik kent kalıntılı yer alır. Diğer taraftan kuzeyde tarihi Hançalar Köprüsü ve Kayı Pazarı bulunur. Somut olmayan kültürel bir değer olarak Çal`ın Aşağıseyit köyünde her yıl Ağustos ayının son haftası Büyük Menderes Nehri`nin sularında "koyun geçirme" etkinliği düzenlenmektedir. Ulaşımı kolay ve yerleşim merkezlerine yakın olan kanyon alanı, sahip olduğu jeolojik çeşitlilik ve peyzaj özellikleri ile jeoturizm faaliyetleri için oldukça uygundur. Bu çalışmanın amacı, bölgesel ve yerel ölçekte jeolojik bir değer olan Çal Kanyonu ve yakın çevresinin jeolojik jeomorfolojik özelliklerini kültürel jeoloji bakış açısıyla ele almak ve jeoturizm potansiyelini ortaya koymaktır.

    Öz: Bu çalışmada, Biga Yarımadasında Şahinli köyü (Lapseki, Çanakkale) civarında yüzeyleyen ve Au-Ag cevherleşmesiyle ilişkili olan Eosen yaşlı Kestanelik granitoyidinin petrografik ve jeokimyasal özellikleri ortaya konulmuştur. Sakarya Zonu`nda yer alan Karabiga masifi içerisindeki inceleme alanının temelinde Geç Ediyakaran Erken Kambriyen yaşlı Çamlıca metamorfikleri bulunmakta ve üzerine tektonik dokanaklı Üst Kretase yaşlı Çetmi melanjı gelmektedir. Çamlıca metamorfitleri, Kestanelik Granitoyidi tarafından kesilmiştir ve bu granitoyidi kırıntılı tortul kayaçları içeren Soğucak formasyonu üzerler. Andezit-bazalt parçacıklı piroklastikler, bazalt daykları ve lav akıntıları ve çamurtaşı içeren Şahinli formasyonu ve Kuvaterner yaşlı alüvyonlar sahadaki tüm birimlerin üzerine uyumsuzlukla gelir. İncelenen Kestanelik granitoyidi stok şekilli intrüzif bir kütledir. Granit, kuvars monzonit ve kuvarsça zengin granitoyid bileşimli kayaçları içerir. Bu kayaçların ana mineralleri kuvars, K-feldispat, plajiyoklas, amfibol, hornblend ve biyotit olup, serizit, illit, klorit, simektit, kaolinit, dolomit, hematit, kristobalit ve alünit ikincil minerallerini kapsar. Kestanelik granitoyitinde arjilik, piropilitik ve silisleşme alterasyon tipleri gözlenmektedir. Kestanelik granitoyidi genellikle şoşonitik, kalkalkalen, subalkali ve genellikle metalümin karakterlidir ve I-tipi bir magmadan türemiştir. Yüksek silis içeriğine (%64,9-75,49) sahiptir ve ana-iz element değişimleri granitoyidin gelişiminde plajiyoklas ve K-feldispat fraksiyonlaşmasının etkili olduğunu gösterir. Granitoyidde, ilksel mantoya göre NYE diyagramında LILE zenginleşmesi oldukça fazladır. Kondrite göre normalize edildiğinde, granitoyidin hafif NYE bakımından zenginleştiği ve ağır NYE bakımından da fakirleştiği belirlenmiştir ve aynı zamanda negatif Eu anomalisine (Eu/Eu*=0,87) de sahiptir. Kestanelik granitoyidleri, volkanik yay (VAG) ve çarpışma ile eş yaşlı(syn-COLG) granitlerdir ve magmatik veya kabuk kökenlidir.

    Öz: Ekoturizm, doğal alanlara odaklanan, sürdürülebilir ekolojik turizmdir. Bunun amacı, çevre ve kültürel farkındalığı desteklemek, bu konudaki olanakların kıymetini bilmek ve korumaktır. Jeoturizm, ekoturizmin jeolojik bir eklenti içeren halidir. Jeoturizm, büyük bir potansiyeli olan yeni bir ekoturizm ürünüdür ve diğer "yüksek değerli" turizm alanlarına uygulanan kurallar bu alan için de geçerlidir. Turizm her zaman ziyaret edilen yere çevresel fayda ile birlikte bu zenginliklere ziyaretçilerin empati duymasını da sağlar, böylece operatöre de daha fazla müşteri memnuniyeti yansır. İngiliz Devletler Topluluğunun 1994`te belirlediği Ulusal Ekoturizm Stratejisi`nde belirtildiği üzere ekoturistler, birbirinden bağımsız seyahat eden insanların bir karışımı olabileceği gibi, bilimsel, eğitsel ya da manzara seyretme amacıyla organize olmuş insan gruplarından ve tatilin bir bölümünü ekoturizm deneyimine ayıran bireyler veya ailelerden oluşabilir. Kısıtlı kaynaklara rağmen bu stratejide ekoturistlerin iyi eğitimli, profesyonel/yarı profesyonel, 20 ile 50 yaşları arasında, bağımsız ve bireyci, geleneksel turistik destinasyonlardan farklı seçenekler ve farklı deneyimler arayan ve önemli harcama gücüne sahip olduklarını varsaymıştır. Demografik ve yaşam tarzları göz önüne alındığında jeoturizmin, ilgi çekici bir ekoturizm faaliyeti içinde tamamlayıcı, bilgi verici bir faaliyet olarak planlanması halinde, 45 yaş üstü zengin müşterileri çekeceği beklenmektedir. Bu müşteriler profesyonel yerbilimcileri arasından olabileceği gibi, Avusturalya Jeoloji Birliği gibi profesyonel topluluklar ve/veya bunların arkadaşları veya mezunları arasından da olabilir. Avusturalya "yerbilimleri ile ilgilenme" pazarının görece sınırlı oluşu, bu konuda hazırlanacak paketin içeriğini kritik hale getirmektedir.
